The Easter Vigil will be observed from the end of the Good Friday service until Easter morning. The church will remain open for prayer and meditation, with optional materials provided to guide and direct personal devotions.

Introduction to the New Testament – Adult Sunday School
This series will introduce the student to the New Testament as both classic and canon. We will discuss how social, political, economic and historical situations shaped the development of the writings of the New Testament, as well as how the traditions and tensions of early faith communities contributed to the emergence of the beliefs and theology reflected in the New Testament.
Classes are on Sundays, from 9:30 until 10:15, and everyone is invited to attend. Instructor: Sheila Peiffer
Qur’an Reading Group
To better acquaint ourselves with Islam and our Muslim neighbors, Carl W. Ernst, a professor of religious studies at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), and author of the landmark book How to Read the Qur’an, is going to be our guide through a series of its verses.
Our goal is to get a sense of this book, which is sacred to almost 1 billion people around the world. We will access the materials on line and set up a place where we can post comments and responses to questions and discussion threads. If the group decides, we can also meet and plan to invite speakers, and/or a field trip to a local mosque.
